If you love fashion and have always wanted your own business, you're in luck. Thanks to Ebay, you can make a great living selling clothes online. There are lots of successful sellers on Ebay who are able to make more than they ever dreamed from the comfort of their own homes, and now you can be one of them. Here's a quick-start guide for starting a clothing business on Ebay.

Finding the right vendor is absolutely crucial to your success. A word of caution — stay away from dropshippers when selling clothing on Ebay. Dropshippers are vendors who stock and ship each item you're selling for you, in either a plain box or with your company information (so that your customers think it came from you.) While the concept of dropshipping is great, the reality is not so great. Good dropshippers are in high demand. You'll often see your dropshippers' items for sale by lots of other Ebay sellers. And because both you and the dropshipper are out to make a profit, it's hard to price your auctions and still stay competitive.

The best course of action is to buy wholesale. The first place to look? Ebay, of course! You can find wholesale lots of clothing for sale on Ebay. There are other places to find wholesale clothing, easily located with a quick Google search. However Ebay is one of the easiest places to find what you need. When choosing a wholesale lot of clothing, there are a few factors to consider. Only purchase clothing that's new with tags, from brand name designers. Anything less isn't worth your time. Divide the wholesale price by the number of items to see what each item is costing you. Then decide how much you're going to mark up each additional piece to find out your potential profit. It's not uncommon for the per-item cost in a wholesale lot of designer shirts, for example, to be only a few dollars. A seller can often make at least $10 profit on one item alone.

When your first wholesale lot of clothing arrives, unpack and examine each piece. Then you'll need to take great photographs. For the most professional appearance, display each piece of clothing on mannequins or busts. (You can purchase these on Ebay as well!) You'll also need a good digital camera and a well-lit area with a neutral background. The more professional your photos look, the more interested people will be. Always choose the Gallery photo option when listing so potential buyers can see the item right away. When writing the title, be sure to include the brand name, what the item is, size, color and whether or not the item is new. Descriptions can be a bit longer and should include all applicable item details as well as shipping and payment information. The best time to list your auctions is from Sunday to Sunday. You can experiment with other durations at other times, however it's a proven fact that Sunday evening is the busiest time for Ebay.

Don't forget — by selling a lot of items and getting good feedback from all your customers, you can become a Powerseller. A Powerseller is automatically recognized by customers and more likely to have lots of new and return customers. You can become a Powerseller, as well as a successful Ebay clothing business owner, by offering lots of quality items, shipping promptly and offering great customer service.

If you love animals and are looking for a great business idea, then why not consider pet sitting? Many people who travel for pleasure or business are not able to take their pets with them, but don't want to leave them in a boarding kennel. That's where you come in! With a petsitting business, you go to the owner's home each day and make sure their dogs and/or cats are fed, exercised, taken for walks, cleaned up after, and socialized with.

The first thing you need to do is get all applicable licenses and paperwork. You'll need to check with your municipal building to find out the business licenses you will need to operate your pet sitting business. You'll also want to get bonded and insured. Your customers are going to want peace of mind. Peace of mind that you're a trustworthy individual, that they're protected against theft or property damage. Your customers will also want to know that they're not liable if you're bitten or scratched by their pets.

After you've got all your licensing and insurance, it's time to advertise. When you're first starting out, there are some low cost ways to get the word out about your services. Your local Yellow Pages, newspapers and pennysavers are a good place to start. You can also print colorful flyers and post them at community bulletin boards around your neighborhood, at places like supermarkets, dry cleaners and laundromats. Also, check with the pet stores in your area and see if they'll let you post your flyers there. Another good place would be dog groomers in your area. Many local groomers would be more than happy to trade advertising — they can refer their clients who need a petsitter to you, and you can refer your clients that need a groomer to them.

When it comes to supplies, there aren't very many that you'll need. The pet owner is responsible for providing all food, water, treats, collars and leashes, and other applicable pet care supplies. However, with the owner's OK, it's a good idea to bring treats or toys along with you so that your animal charge will associate your visits with something good. Many pets become stressed when their owners are away, and by providing them with a special treat or rousing game of fetch, you can alleviate some of their anxiety.

Your rates should depend on the area of the country where you are and the number of animals you care for at one time. In a middle to upper class region of the country, many people pay $25 or even more per day for the services of a qualified petsitter. As you can see, this can add up if you get a large clientele.

If you provide quality, trustworthy services, you'll find that not only will you get repeat customers, you'll get referrals as well. And that's the surest way to a thriving business!

The trend nowadays is for people to work at home, even in their pajamas. Some people start work even before they have breakfast. But these are the lucky few, who were able to find their ideal home based business.

It is not easy to start a home based business but cashing in on the latest trends like medical transcription and home based call center can be financially rewarding. Majority of those who have ventured in home based call centers are working mothers who want more time at home with their children while earning their keep.

A home based business is not only practical for work at home mothers but also for those who want to earn more, those who want a more flexible schedule or want to get rid of bosses huffing at their backs every working day.

If you dream of having your own business right in the comforts of your own home then nothing suits you more than having your own home based call center business.

A home based call center business requires good English-speaking skills and basic computer knowledge. Most home based call center agents have their own computer and internet connection. Most call center functions are outsourced because of the relatively cheap labor in other countries.

While calls are generally directed to clients in other countries, there should be no worry about rising telephone bills because most home based call centers equip their callers with voice over internet protocol systems which treats most long distance calls as local calls.

You have to attend trainings or formal call center lessons though before you can start on your home based call center business. There are plenty of institutions offering call center training and some even offer online call center training. You just have to invest in training yourself and you can already make money right in your home.

There are plenty of opportunities for home based call centers since most developed countries are already outsourcing their call center requirements. You only need to do some research as to which companies are accepting home based call centers, apply with them and then make the necessary arrangement for your calls and payment scheme.

If you want a home based business that is financially rewarding with a meager capital then go for a home based call center business. It may seem complicated at first but you will get the hang of it in a few months of doing calls. In a home based call center business, you are paid monthly but you also get commissions for sales.

The market for day care increases every year as the working mother in society increasingly return to work to contribute financially to the ongoing household expenses. (...)

The market for day care increases every year as the working mother in society increasingly return to work to contribute financially to the ongoing household expenses. Day care centers have now proven to be a lucrative niche for owner operators, especially those who have purchased franchises. The day care industry is expanding. There are now more than 100,000 licensed child-care centers and 250,000 licensed family day care homes across the United States.

An overall increase in professionalism has helped to enhance the reputation of the child care and day care field. Only 20-30 years ago, child care was a cottage industry operating out of remodeled houses, granny flats or small business shop fronts. Early centers were essentially baby-sitting facilities. Today's day care centers, frequently part of regional or national chains, are larger and more professionally run. Because parents want their children to get educational services, many centers require that their caregivers have early childhood education degrees. The day care industry is regulated by state law, and sometimes also by county or city, and the regulations vary widely by state.

The day-care center industry has changed a lot over the past 15 years, and industry professionals are predicting that it will change even more by the year 2010. Family-run day care centers seem to be holding their own because they are especially popular for infants and younger toddlers whose parents are looking for the family style influence. However, the smaller commercial centers are disappearing, due to difficulties in meeting increased government regulation, and buyouts by regional or national chains. The regional and national daycare chains will no doubt continue to grow.
