The best time to list your auctions is from Sunday to Sunday.  You can experiment with other durations at other times, however it's a proven fact that Sunday evening is the busiest time for Ebay.

Your rates should depend on the area of the country where you are and the number of animals you care for at one time.  In a middle to upper class region of the country, many people pay $25 or even more per day for the services of a qualified petsitter.  As you can see, this can add up if you get a large clientele.
